House Call: Stocking Up on Summer Snacks - Architectural Digest

Welcome to the extended version of my weekly newsletter, House Call (and if you aren’t subscribed, what are you waiting for?). This is where I spend some time pondering a theme, answering a question, and helping you shop smarter, or at least be inspired by something new. Reach out if you ever need recommendations—I'm happy to search the internet for the most specific furnishings, decor, and knickknacks.

I’m the kind of person who always has a snack within reach, stashed in my tote or tucked in my glove compartment. To avoid getting hangry, I like to be prepared. But beyond the hunger element, I really just enjoy trying new foods and beverages. When I was younger I went for the limited-edition candies and bubbly waters at the grocery store—any newfangled M&M or special Polar Seltzer was an instant buy. These days I can’t help but be enticed by aesthetically pleasing packaging with better ingredients (bonus points if they come from sustainable sources).

I think my snack game ramps up in the summertime with road trips, dinner parties, and picnics back on the agenda. So I’m here to whet your appetite with all the best-looking, most flavor-filled treats.
