Ingredients required- 4 cup poha, ¼ cup peanuts, ¼ cup cashews, ¼ cup thinly sliced dried coconut, 2 tbsp raisins, 2 tbsp grated jaggery, 3 stalks of curry leaves, 2 green chillies, 4 tbsp chana dal, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp turmeric, ¼ tsp asafoetida, 4 tbsp oil and salt as per taste.
Roasting the poha
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan and add 2 cups of poha to it. We will roast the poha in batches, so that it gets equally roasted.
- Roast the poha on medium heat and keep stirring in between.
- Once the poha turns crispy and flaky, roast for just a few more minutes and turn off the flame.
- Now take out the roasted poha on a plate and spread it properly. Let the poha cool down completely.
- Repeat this step one more time to roast the leftover poha.
