The dairy snacks company, based in County Cork, focuses on developing innovative, all-natural, hand-held dairy snacks for the global market.
At Anuga, Dairy Concepts was promoting its dairy bars: In the Irish and UK markets the Fruchee brand is used to target consumers of all ages; while in the French market, the dairy bars are sold under the Tapufin brand, targeting children for the afternoon goûter snacking occasion.
‘Crunchy cheese’ is the company’s other innovation; taking Irish cheese and cooking it to create a crunchy, puffed ambient-snack high in protein and high in calcium.
The CheeseOs range, which the company said is selling well, is made from mild cheddar which is then seasoned to create a range of familiar flavors including salt and vinegar, cheese and onion, and sour cream and onion.
The Moorepark range is a more premium offering made using speciality cheeses such as chilli cheddar, black pepper cheddar, mature cheddar, and smoked cheddar.
Dairy Reporter spoke with Paul Simpson, sales and marketing director at the company, during the event.
