With serious head injuries, the girl had slipped into unconsciousness.
Family members admitted the girl to a private hospital.

Lidl recalls popular Paw Patrol snacks over inappropriate message - Yahoo Movies UK

Chase is on the case - but is he after this faux pas? (Paw Patrol Live)
Chase is on the case - but is he after this faux pas? (Paw Patrol Live)

Lidl has urgently recalled a range of popular kiddy treats after an ‘explicit’ error was spotted on the packaging.

Shoppers are being urged to return the Paw Patrol snacks to the store in exchange for a full refund after a URL published on the packaging had been compromised.

The budget supermarket has had to withdraw four types of snacks because the URL on the packaging directed consumers to a site “not suitable for child consumption”.

The packs of Paw Patrol Yummy Bakes and Paw Patrol Mini Biscotti all have a website address directing families to head to the site so parents can have a break while their youngsters engage in some fun with their favourite characters.

But the URL has instead been directing those who gave it a go to an adult website showing explicit sexual acts.

Listing the affected products, Lidl has said they believe the Paw Patrol yummy bake bars raspberry, yummy bake bars apple, all-butter mini biscotti, and the chocolate chip mini biscotti had all been tampered with.

On the recall notice, Lidl wrote: “Lidl GB is recalling the above-mentioned branded product as we have been made aware that the URL of the supplier which is featured on the back of the packaging has been compromised and is being directed to a site that is not suitable for child consumption.”

The recall notice added: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.”

One parent told The Sun he was “horrified” after allowing his youngster to tuck into the all butter mini biscotti biscuits.

He said: “I don’t normally look up the websites on food packaging but I have worked in the food industry and it was a company I had never heard of so I thought I would have a look. I was horrified. How could this happen? You would think it has to go through a lot of checks before they put this on the packaging.

“I imagined it has to be some sort of typo but this is beyond the pale. They are biscuits aimed at children, so there are definitely going to be kids that look this website up.

“The worst thing is that not only is this a product for kids, but it actually says ‘kids’ in the URL, which is disgusting given the type of stuff that is on the website.”

4 quick plant-based snacks a vegan dietitian swears by - Business Insider India

  • Following a plant-based diet has been linked to a range of health benefits.
  • Plant-based dietitian Alyssa Fontaine shared her four go-to vegan snacks with Insider.

A vegan dietitian has shared her favorite go-to snacks, from roasted chickpeas to smoothies.

Alyssa Fontaine, who is based in Canada, previously shared with Insider the four most common mistakes people make when going vegan, as well as her favorite breakfasts and dinners.

She has been following the diet — which cuts out all animal products including meat, fish, and dairy products — for five years, and initially decided to go vegan for ethical reasons.

"I saw a cow that was a little toughened up by the industry and the next day I was just like, I'm not eating animals anymore," she said.

People also choose the diet for health reasons. Eating a plant-based diet can help you to lose weight and research suggests it can reduce the risk of diseases including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Getting to grips with plant-based sources of protein — such as tofu and beans — understanding the nutrients your body needs, and meal prepping are crucial steps to sustaining a healthy vegan diet, Fontaine said.

Equally, she believes that your diet shouldn't be too restrictive and meals should be easy to make and taste good.

Fontaine recommended preparing an afternoon snack that you can eat between lunch and dinner to avoid getting too hungry and reaching for something high in salt and sugar when you get home.

She shared her four easy and nutritious go-to plant-based snacks.

Roasted chickpeas

If you are craving something crispy, roasted chickpeas are easy and cheap to make. They can also be bought from a store if you are really low on time, Fontaine said.

To make this snack, drain a can of chickpeas, pat it dry, and remove the loose skins. In a bowl, add oil, salt, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and mix it all together. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 400 Fahrenheit, depending on your oven. Remove from the oven when they are brown and crispy, and let them cool down.

A cup of chickpeas contains over 14 grams of protein, although it does not qualify as a complete protein because it lacks some amino acids.

Fresh fruits

Fontaine prioritizes convenience and likes snacks that she can have on hand.

During the summertime, she eats a lot of fruit throughout the day, because you don't have to prepare anything.

Fruit is an excellent source of fiber, which is important for digestive health and can help regulate blood sugar spikes.

Smoothies with soy milk, seeds, and nuts

Fontaine likes to make fruit smoothies but pairs them with some extras to get more protein and nutrients.

She uses fruits such as blueberries, mango, and banana, and blends them with soy milk, which she said has the most protein of all the plant-based milks.

From snacks sold at Rs 1 to a Rs 1300 Crore Empire: Bipin Hadvani's Journey - YourStory

In the bustling city of Rajkot, Gujarat, 1994, Bipin Hadvani held onto a valuable piece of advice from his father: "If you want to earn more, expand your business, don't hike prices." These words laid the foundation for a snack empire that would become a sensation in Gujarat.

As a child, Hadvani was enamored by the namkeen business his father ran, where traditional Gujarati snacks were peddled from village to village. This spark of inspiration led a young Hadvani to Rajkot in 1990, armed with a modest Rs 4,500, given by his skeptical father, and a dream of establishing his own venture. Initially, he partnered with a relative, launching a local snack brand that quickly gained traction. However, differences in business philosophies soon drove a wedge between the partners.

By 1994, with a mere Rs 2.5 lakh in hand, Hadvani, together with his wife Daxa, started Gopal Snacks. They embarked on this venture right from their home, focusing on quality and authenticity. For Hadvani, growth wasn’t just about production volume; it was about maintaining the roots and ethos of traditional Gujarati namkeen. Their dedication paid off, as they saw a steady rise in demand.

However, success wasn't linear. An ambitious move to expand production outside the city led to logistical issues. By 2008, realising the oversight, Hadvani shifted back into the city, rebranding to Gopal Snacks and taking on significant debt to set up a new plant.

The subsequent years saw an exponential growth. By FY22, Gopal Snacks revenue touched a staggering Rs 1,306 crore. Their product range expanded across seven plants in three states, offering over 60 unique snacks and making their presence known in over 70 countries.

But the journey wasn’t without its challenges. With the burgeoning market for chips, Hadvani faced competition from major players venturing into the traditional namkeen space. In response, he diversified, adding chips and other products like wafers and spices to the brand's repertoire. Today, around 7% of Gopal's sales come from chips, primarily in Gujarat.

While experts caution against too much diversification, Hadvani firmly believes in his father's advice about business expansion. He sees it not as dilution, but as evolution.

The story of Gopal Snacks, from a humble beginning with 'Chavanu' packets sold for Rs 1 in nearby villages, to becoming a powerhouse with an annual turnover of Rs 450 crores without spending on advertising, is a testament to Hadvani's vision, resilience, and commitment to authenticity.

Pumpkin Spice Snacks & Treats 2023 Your Basic Self *Needs* To Try - Romper

I don’t have a lot of life rules, but there is one I really try to abide by: no pumpkin spice until September 1. It’s hard. Not just because I love pumpkin spice, but because there is so much of it already out come mid-August. I’m still washing swimsuits and pool towels, how can I enjoy a pumpkin spice cold brew? But to prep, I make a list of all the pumpkin spice snacks and treats I want to try so that I don’t miss a single second of fall goodness.

Call me basic! Who cares! Pumpkin spice is one of the best flavors, and I’m all for trying it out in new ways. You’ve got your standard Pumpkin Spice Lattes and pumpkin bread or pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, but this list elevates the fall flavor. Some of these items aren’t brand new this year, but are only available for limited releases, and some are pumpkin spice snacks and treats you’ve never heard of before. So grab your Pumpkin Spice Build-A-Bear and maybe even a pumpkin spice treat for your pup and get your grocery list ready: your basic taste buds are going to want to try each and every one of these snacks.

Little Bites Pumpkin Muffins

Little Bites

OK, I know for sure these were available last year because my children when through an entire box of them in like three days. They’re moist, they’re the perfect amount of pumpkin and spice, and they’re a great snack to throw in your bag for a fall sports day or for school. 10/10, but you can make them 15/10 by squeezing some pumpkin spice whipped cream between two of them and making a muffin sandwich. You’re welcome.

Pumpkin Spiced Whipped Cream

Again — not brand new this year, but needs to be on your list. Target’s Favorite Day brand has this deeeeelicious pumpkin spice whipped cream, and it’s beyond good. Use it for coffee, pies, or make your little muffin treat like I described up top. It’s still super creamy and not overly sweet thanks to the spice. My girls love it.

Pumpkin Mochi

Bubbies

Mochi isn’t for everyone, but these pumpkin spice Bubbies Mochi most definitely are. I... can not adequately explain how much I want to shove one of these in my mouth (cue Michael Scott). All of your favorite seasonal spices are there, just wrapped up in delicate sweet mochi dough. Bonus: it’s gluten-free!

KIND Thins Chocolate Pumpkin Spice

KIND

This is a brand new flavor from KIND and I am so here for it. Pumpkin spice paired with dark chocolate, almonds, peanuts, and real pumpkin make for an irresistible fall treat with just the right amount of crunch and sweetness.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew

Starbucks

There’s nothing quite like a Starbucks PSL to kick off fall season, but I’m obsessed with this pumpkin spice cold brew you can pick up at your local grocery store. It’s smooth, it’s delicious, and it’s perfect for those early September days when it’s really hot AF, but you need the pumpkin spice flavor.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Popsicles

GoodPop

I know what you’re thinking, but stay with me: it’s like an iced pumpkin spice latte but creamier and on a stick. The GoodPop Pumpkin Spice Latte is legit. It’s made non-dairy with oat milk and includes actual cold brew and pumpkin puree. It’s both refreshing and cozy, the best kind of treat.

Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows

Jet-Puffed

I mean. Come on. Pumpkin spice marshmallows? Pop these bad boys into s’mores, mix them into brownies, eat straight out of the bag like a fiend, I don’t care, I just know I’m going to inhale the entire bag.

Tea Forté Pumpkin Spice

Tea Forté

I’m not usually a tea person — just hook up a coffee drip IV straight into my veins — but this Tea FortĂ© pumpkin spice is so, so good. It’s obviously a lighter taste than coffee and just feels like a warm hug in the evening. I’m really looking forward to serving this after Thanksgiving dinner when everyone’s stuffed and in dire need of a hot beverage.

Blondie Pumpkin Spice Brownie Brittle

Hubba hubba. I’m sorry, but what? This is too good. Brownie Brittle on her worst day (she’s never had one, doesn’t know her, don’t hate) is still the best kind of treat, but this version is blowing my mind. Pumpkin Spice Brownie Brittle is basically a chopped up, crispy blondie instead full of your favorite fall flavors. I’m not well. I need it.

Pumpkin Spice Caramels

Absolutely drooling over these pumpkin spice sea salt caramels from Sanders Candy. Just unbelievably good, with all the right textures and flavors coming together like a fall parade in your mouth. It’s hard not to eat the entire bag, but honestly, relishing one of these after bedtime every night? So good. Perfect fall treat.

Pumpkin Spice Yogurt

Siggi's

IYKYK. Siggi’s pumpkin & spice flavor isn’t new, but it’s back this year, and it’s so very good. You just can’t beat a protein-packed yogurt that also tastes like a cozy fall hug, you know? Bonus: you can use siggi’s pumpkin & spice in everything from pumpkin spice tiramisu to pumpkin spice pancakes.

Which basic pumpkin spice treat are you looking forward to trying the most? Whatever it is, I support you, and tell everyone to back off of you already. You know who you are and you know what you like. You’ve got pumpkin puree for blood and your brain is already in Anne of Green Gables mode. Happy fall.

"Lazy girl" life hacks are blowing up on TikTok.

While I don't think I'm a particularly lazy person, I do relate to the "lazy girl" trend in the sense that I like to work smarter, not harder. If I can make better use of my time by doing things efficiently, whether in the gym, or in the kitchen, I will.

In that sense, you can absolutely be a lazy girl and stay healthy.

When I lost 35 pounds four years ago, I focused on eating a high-protein diet as well as lots of vegetables, while including all the foods I enjoy in moderation.

I started making a selection of staple breakfasts, lunches, and dinners that were nutritious, tasty, and — most importantly — not too time-consuming to prepare (and often easy to batch cook) so I could keep my nutrition on track with minimal effort.

Eating protein throughout the day is beneficial when trying to lose fat and/or build or maintain muscle because it keeps you feeling full, helps your muscles repair after workouts, and uses up more calories during digestion than fats and carbs.

Here are five high-protein, easy snacks that helped me lose fat and maintain my weight in the years since

American Airlines passenger claims crew ‘snatched’ 3-yr-old’s snack box - India Today

A passenger travelling on American Airlines recently shared her upsetting experience on a social media platform, where she goes by the username @dynamicallydara. She recounted how a flight attendant allegedly took her three-year-old nephew's snack box of unwrapped food without permission.

In her tweet, she wrote, "Today, while flying with @AmericanAir, I had my 3-year-old nephew's snack box of unwrapped food on the tray. A flight attendant walked by, took it without asking, and showed it to a friend near the front of the plane. She was gone for several minutes. I had to throw everything away. I'm furious! I will contact the airline's corporate office." Along with her tweet, she posted a picture of the snack box, containing various unwrapped snacks like crackers, cereal and peanut butter and jam sandwich.

advertisement

According to Dara, she was occupied playing a game on her nephew's iPad when the incident occurred. The flight attendant reportedly took the snack box and mentioned that she wanted to show it to a friend at the front of the plane who had recently become a grandmother. Dara mentioned, "I initially thought she was reaching for the tray's trash, but she grabbed my nephew's snack box with all his food. She informed me about her friend and her intentions, and before I could fully process her words, she walked away with the snack box."

In a long X thread, she explained what had actually happened that day on flight and why she demanded the airline’s attention on this matter.

Dara expressed her concern about the food's exposure and her decision to discard it after the flight attendant returned with it. After reaching their destination, she confronted the flight attendant, explaining that while she understood the curiosity about the snack box, it was not acceptable to take someone's personal belongings without permission.

In response, the flight attendant said, "Oh, I had just washed my hands." Dara emphasized that this wasn't the main issue and that helping oneself to someone's belongings was not appropriate. Despite an apology, the flight attendant continued to justify her actions, which Dara felt negated the sincerity of the apology.

American Airlines acknowledged the situation and offered an apology, saying, "What a charming snack box! We apologize for the crew member taking it without asking you first."

However, Dara was far from please with the airline’s response.

"Rogan brings these snacks" - Daniel Cormier explains why Max Holloway caught him eating during his fight - Sportskeeda

Max Holloway and Daniel Cormier's light-hearted exchanges, filled with witty jabs, and comedic antics, have become a staple of entertainment for fight fans.

From challenging each other's claims of being the "Daddest Man on the Planet" to their humorous feud and verbal jabs online, their friendly rivalry is a testament to their humorous camaraderie. In the past, Max Holloway has also called out Cormier for a hypothetical superheavyweight fight.

The former UFC featherweight champion is gearing up for his next fight against The Korean Zombie this weekend. The fight will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, on August 26, 2023.

It has become a consistent routine that whenever Max Holloway's fight draws near, Daniel Cormier playfully takes a humorous jab at him. This time, Holloway pointed out that Cormier had food on the commentary booth table while covering UFC 291.

In response, the former two-division UFC champion took a lighthearted approach, shifting the blame to his co-commentator Joe Rogan for the presence of snacks on the broadcast booth table. During a recent episode of the DC & RC show, Cormier revealed:

"Rogan brings these snacks every time bro. He brings this beef jerky, so we sit there and eat it. We eat popcorn, we sit there for seven and a half hours. I love that guy [Max Holloway], but that guy's constantly taking shots at me."

Check out the video below:

Max Holloway Criticizes Hawaii Government's Response to Maui Fires

Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has expressed heartbreak and frustration over the Maui wildfires that devastated Lahaina town. He condemned the Hawaii government's response as inadequate, asserting that they've let down the people of Lahaina.

The Hawaiian native emphasizes the remarkable resilience and unity of the Hawaiian community in the face of tragedy. He also raises concern over developers attempting to purchase land from survivors whose homes were destroyed, describing it as a disregard for historical significance.

Speaking about the tragedy in a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Holloway stated:

“The state, the government, at so many levels, they just – I’m just straight up gonna say they failed the people of Lahaina. It’s kind of heartbreaking. When it felt like they were lollygagging, too, after everything happened, the Hawaiian people, the locals there are the ones that stood up and took on this responsibility.”

Holloway added:

“The amazing thing is how Hawaii can come together and pull through. The people of Hawaii are coming strong together. You’re seeing it. You see it through all the social media, everything. The Hawaiian people band together, making it for these Lahaiana guys and letting these guys know that we are here. We’re here to stay. Keep staying strong. I know it doesn’t look like there ain’t no end to this, but we are here for the long run for you guys.”

American dad and son flooded with ketchup chips after Niagara Falls hunt now donating the crunchy snacks - CBC.ca

There were 40 bags of ketchup chips in the back of Rich Lieberman's vintage army jeep when he left Niagara Falls, Ont., with his son Jacob in July.

But in recent weeks, the American father-son pair have received more than they could ever have imagined.

"We have way too much," Lieberman posted to Facebook in mid-August.

Their two-day road trip saw them travel from Virginia to a No Frills in Niagara Falls to buy a year's worth of ketchup chips for 15-year-old Jacob, since they can't get the Canadian snack at home.

An online post about the trip went viral, much to the delight of Jacob, who is deaf and legally blind.

After the family got home, No Frills said it would send them a gift.

"No Frills thought Jacob didn't get enough chips a couple weeks ago when visiting their store in Niagara Falls. They just shipped him NINE CASES of various [flavours] of chips," Lieberman wrote on Facebook on July 31.

"He and mom will have a sampling party at dinner tonight."

Jacob had a chance to try all-dressed chips in that shipment and liked them, but not as much as ketchup chips, according to Lieberman.

Not long after that, Old Dutch Foods sent them a shipment of chips.

"Jacob said the chips are great and now we will be getting some of these with the other brand next summer," Lieberman posted to Facebook.

Then came a delivery from Heinz, which included boxes of bottled ketchup and bright red shirts with the words "Annual Lieberman Ketchup Crew Road Trip" on the front.

"The shirts are what he smiled most about. Next was all that ketchup," Lieberman wrote online.

They're still expecting a care package with Lay's chips, but what they already received has been too much for them.

Rich Lieberman went on a two-day road trip with his 15-year-old deaf and legally blind son, Jacob, to stock up on Jacob's favourite chips.

Lieberman told CBC Hamilton his family started donating the snacks to families in need.

"We have actually donated each shipment to different schools after trying the different chips," he said.

"I am currently researching several soup kitchen-type places in our area and will donate most of the ketchup there."

He said experiencing food insecurity as a young adult also motivated him to share the gifts with others.

But there's also been another gift since the trip — the family has gained somewhat of a celebrity status.

"Jacob is frequently recognized at his new high school and it always makes him smile," Lieberman told CBC Hamilton.

"Recently I have been recognized as the ketchup guy. Found it funny, especially since I don't like ketchup."
