Whether it's pyaaz ke pakore, omelette, or onion rings, we love combining this vegetable with other ingredients to create a lip-smacking dish. After all, the crispiness of onions undoubtedly gives our taste buds a tempting experience. Especially during the monsoon season, when foodies love to enjoy evenings with a cup of steaming hot masala chai and fritters. If the combination of a cup of tea with pakoras has started to sound mundane, you have landed in the right spot. We introduce you to the newest snack called the 'Onion Blossom'. The recipe was shared by a food vlogger on Instagram. In the video, two street food vendors from Gujarat's Vadodara were seen preparing the dish, which has taken the internet by storm. Besides this crispy delight, what impressed the internet was the level of hygiene the vendors maintained in the clip.

In case you're not aware, this dish is also known as a blooming onion. The video begins with one of the vendors placing a peeled, uncut onion beneath the flower-cutting machine. Once the onion was perfectly sliced, the vendor was observed dipping it into a small container filled with an orange-hued marinade. Judging by its colour, it seems the vendor generously added a variety of spices to it. After the onion was thoroughly coated with the marinade, it was covered in crumbs to maximize its crunchiness before being deep-fried. As soon as it acquired its orangish-brown hue, the onion blossom was removed from the oil and excess oil was drained. Take a look:
Last but certainly not least, the vendor was observed sprinkling a special seasoning and serving it with mayonnaise. In no time, countless users expressed their appreciation for the way the dish was prepared. Many mentioned that this is the first time they've felt inclined to try street food after watching a viral video. The vendors were widely praised for their commitment to maintaining hygiene.
