Content creator sneaks snacks inside theatre. Video has 35 million views - India Today

For all the film enthusiasts out there, it's a universal truth that enjoying a movie is incomplete without munching on some snacks. The ideal scenario involves sitting in a cinema with a large tub of popcorn and a chilled beverage. However, the reality of high-priced snacks sold inside the theatre cannot be overlooked. Despite the rule that prohibits outside food in theatres, a humourous video has gone viral, that showcases a creative method to sneak snacks into a multiplex.

advertisement

The video was shared by an Instagram content creator who called it "the genius hack." The clip begins with the creator sitting at a mall's food court table. He had an empty shoe box and inside, he placed two packets of chips, a cold drink bottle, and some restaurant-bought food. To make room, he punctures the chip packets slightly to release excess air. After sealing the box and taping the openings, he successfully passes the theatre's security check. The video concludes with him relishing his snacks while watching Akshay Kumar's film, 'OMG 2'.

Watch the video here:

While we don't endorse rule-breaking, the video's humour and creativity were too entertaining not to share. The clip has garnered significant attention, amassing over 35 million views. Even Swiggy Instamart's official Instagram page acknowledged the post, humorously commenting, "Smartest student from section A."

However, not everyone was amused. Some viewers sided with the theatre owners, criticising the creator for potentially harming the cinema business. They argued that such actions could lead to stricter checks in theatres.

Content creator sneaks snacks into movie theatre showing ‘OMG 2’: video goes viral - Business Today

Movie buffs universally agree that devouring mouth-watering snacks while engrossed in a good film undoubtedly elevates the whole cinematic experience. Nothing beats the classic combination of sprawling comfortably on a plush seat inside a movie theatre, the aroma of buttery popcorn wafting through the air, a jumbo tub of popcorn on your lap, and an ice-cold soda within arm's reach.

Now, a video of a content creator sneaking snacks inside a theatre has gone viral on social media with over 35 millions of views. In the video, the content creator is seen placing snacks such as chips, chocolate, and a cold drink bottle inside an empty shoe box. He then tapes the box shut and walks into the theatre without being stopped by security.

An Instagram creator shared on social media and called it ‘genius hack’. The video finishes off with him enjoying his snacks while watching 'OMG 2', a film starring Akshay Kumar.

The audience's response online has been overwhelming, turning this cheeky stunt into a viral sensation.

Swiggy Instamart's official Instagram page acknowledged the photo, joking, "Smartest student from section A."

Not everyone, though, was amused. Some viewers agreed with the theatre owners, accusing the creator of potentially damaging the film industry. They contended that such moves could lead to tougher screenings in theatres.

“Box bhi check karte hai,” a user commented. “Security guards be watching this reel like,” another one wrote. “Hacker ha, hacker hai bhai,” a third user wrote. " Smartest student from Section A," Swiggy Instamart commented.

1 in 4 people is undoing the benefits of healthy meals by unhealthy snacking - Medical Dialogues

A quarter of people are undoing the benefits of healthy meals with unhealthy snacks, which increases the risk of strokes and cardiovascular disease. The findings, published in the European Journal of Nutrition by researchers from the School of Life Course & Population Sciences and ZOE, details the snacking habits of 854 people from the ZOE PREDICT study.

Researchers found that half of the participants do not match the healthiness of their meals to their snacks and vice versa. This difference has a negative effect on health measures, such as blood sugar and fat levels, and addressing this could be a simple diet strategy to improve health.

Contrary to popular belief, the analysis showed that snacking is not unhealthy - as long as the snacks were healthy. People who ate high-quality snacks like nuts and fresh fruits frequently were more likely to have a healthy weight compared to those who don’t snack at all or those who snack on unhealthy foods. Analysis also showed good quality snacks can also result in better metabolic health and decreased hunger.

However, a quarter (26%) of the participants reported eating healthy main meals and poor-quality snacks. Poor-quality snacks, such as highly processed food and sugary treats, were associated with poorer health markers and left people feeling hungry. Unhealthy snacks were linked with higher BMI, higher visceral fat mass and higher postprandial – the period after eating a meal – triglycerides concentrations, all of which are associated with metabolic disease such as stroke, cardiovascular disease and obesity.

Unhealthy snacks raise risk of strokes and cardiovascular disease: Study - The New Indian Express

By ANI

WASHINGTON: The researchers discovered that just half of the people matched the nutritional value of their meals and snacks. This disparity has a detrimental impact on health indicators like blood sugar and fat levels, and addressing it may be as simple as changing one's diet.

With unhealthy snacks, 25 per cent of people nullify the positive effects of healthy meals, increasing their risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease.

Researchers from the School of Life Course & Population Sciences and ZOE outline the snacking behaviours of 854 participants from the ZOE PREDICT project in their findings, which were published today in the European Journal of Nutrition.

Dr Sarah Berry from King’s College London and chief scientist at ZOE said, “Considering 95 per cent of us snack, and that nearly a quarter of our calories come from snacks, swapping unhealthy snacks such as cookies, crisps and cakes to healthy snacks like fruit and nuts is a really simple way to improve your health.”

Contrary to what is often believed, the analysis demonstrated that snacking is not harmful as long as the snacks are nutritious. Compared to those who don't snack at all or who nibble on harmful foods, people who frequently eat high-quality snacks like nuts and fresh fruits are more likely to have a healthy weight. Analysis revealed that high-quality snacks can help improve metabolic health and reduce appetite.

However, a quarter of the individuals claimed to consume unhealthy snacks in addition to healthy main meals. Poor-quality snacks, such as heavily processed foods and sweets, made people feel hungry and were linked to worse health markers.

Unhealthy snacks have been connected to higher BMI, visceral fat mass, and postprandial triglyceride concentrations, all of which are linked to metabolic diseases like obesity, stroke, and cardiovascular disease. Your health may also depend on when you eat your snacks. Research has shown that snacking after 9 p.m. was linked to blood indicators that were worse than at any other time. Snacks at this time typically consisted of calorie-dense, high-fat and sugar items.

Dr Kate Bermingham from King’s College London and senior scientist at ZOE said, “This study contributes to the existing literature that food quality is the driving factor in positive health outcomes from food. Making sure we eat a balanced diet of fruit, vegetables, protein and legumes is the best way to improve your health.”

Diabetes: 5 Healthy Bedtime Snacks For Midnight Cravings to Manage Your Glucose Level - India.com

Depending on how a diabetic's body responds to sugar throughout the course of the night, they can adjust how often they snack.

Diabetes
Diabetes: 5 Healthy Bedtime Snacks For Midnight Cravings to Manage Your Glucose Level

Everyone’s blood sugar levels fluctuate throughout the night. These variations can result in elevated blood sugar levels, or hyperglycemia, in type 1 or type 2 diabetics in the morning. Before going to bed, a smart late-night snack may help maintain these levels. Finding the best diabetes diet and snacks is crucial for controlling blood sugar levels. Snacks are important for keeping a balanced diet, but it can be challenging to select snacks that won’t raise blood sugar levels.

How Should Diabetics Snack Healthy at Night?

There are a few things to think about if you believe that a snack before bed is a good choice.

You may like to read

  • Start with the time of your snack, which should be roughly 30 minutes before sliding under the covers for digestive reasons.
  • Several variables, such as how effectively your blood sugar level is maintained, if you are using insulin, whether you have other health concerns, how hungry you are, and more, will determine whether you need between-meal snacks.
  • If you don’t eat as much, breaking up your evening meal into two smaller portions will assist your blood sugar levels. This is particularly excellent for those who have gastroparesis, a condition caused by nerve damage that makes it difficult for food to properly digest and pass through the stomach.

5 Bed Time Snacks For Diabetes Patients

  1. Fibre: By absorbing water and producing a gel, fibre can help slow down digestion and postpone the absorption of glucose. Consuming fibre on a regular basis may enhance insulin sensitivity and glycemic management.
  2. Healthy Fats: It’s crucial to include healthy fats in your meals and snacks, such as those found in avocado, olive oil, nuts, and seeds. You may feel fuller for longer thanks to fats. Fat, along with protein and fibre, can assist in sluggish the release of sugar into the circulation, preventing sharp rises and falls in blood sugar levels.
  3. Low-Sodium Foods: Considering that high blood pressure is one of the risk factors for heart disease, selecting a low-sodium snack might assist in preserving a healthy blood pressure level.
  4. Healthy Carbs: Your blood sugar levels may be better controlled if you select a snack that has no more than 15 grams of carbs per serving.
  5. Protein: It helps control hunger by reducing the rate at which glucose enters the circulation, just as fibre and fat. Many meals high in protein also include fibre, good fats, or both.

It could be beneficial to incorporate exercise routines in addition to healthy food habits.

New study says 1 in 4 people cancel out healthy eating with snacks - The Hill

New study says 1 in 4 people cancel out healthy eating with snacks | The Hill

A notable portion of healthy eaters have their good diets canceled out by frequent or low quality snacks, according to a new study in the European Journal of Nutrition released Friday.

The study looked at a group of frequent snackers in the U.K., mostly women, who kept otherwise healthy diets. It found that about a quarter of participants’ snacking was hurting their health due to eating too much or eating low quality snacks, but that snacking alone doesn’t always hurt.

“Contrary to public perception, we find that the act of snacking, in terms of both frequency and quantity of energy from snacks, was not associated with unfavourable cardiometabolic blood or anthropometric markers,” the researchers wrote. “Instead, we observed that snack quality matters and is associated with favourable lipemic and insulinemic responses, as well as decreased hunger.”

Researchers defined “high quality” snacks as fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds and unprocessed foods. “Low quality” snacks included sweets and heavily processed foods.

According to the study, those who consumed mostly high quality snacks, no matter the quantity, were healthier than those who mostly consumed low quality snacks.

Low quality snacks were “linked with higher BMI (body mass index), higher visceral fat mass and higher postprandial — the period after eating a meal — triglycerides concentrations, all of which are associated with metabolic disease such as stroke, cardiovascular disease and obesity,” the study found.

Researchers said that snacking accounted for about a quarter of participants’ caloric intake, and that most people ate snacks once or twice a day.

Snack timing can also be significantly influential on health, researchers said. The healthiest snacking habit is early in the day, the study states. People who snacked in the evening were more likely to eat low quality foods and have less time for their bodies to process nutrients, leading to worse health outcomes.

As for dietary advice, the study states that eating high-quality foods early in the day can be an important part of a healthy lifestyle.

“Snacking behaviour may be a key diet target to ameliorate risk factors for diet-related diseases and snacking on high-quality foods earlier in the day can be part of a healthy lifestyle,” the study concludes. “However, when people have sufficient diet information, food knowledge and healthy eating intentions, the current food environment makes it difficult for them to change their snacking behaviour.”
