Content creator sneaks snacks inside theatre. Video has 35 million views - India Today

For all the film enthusiasts out there, it's a universal truth that enjoying a movie is incomplete without munching on some snacks. The ideal scenario involves sitting in a cinema with a large tub of popcorn and a chilled beverage. However, the reality of high-priced snacks sold inside the theatre cannot be overlooked. Despite the rule that prohibits outside food in theatres, a humourous video has gone viral, that showcases a creative method to sneak snacks into a multiplex.

The video was shared by an Instagram content creator who called it "the genius hack." The clip begins with the creator sitting at a mall's food court table. He had an empty shoe box and inside, he placed two packets of chips, a cold drink bottle, and some restaurant-bought food. To make room, he punctures the chip packets slightly to release excess air. After sealing the box and taping the openings, he successfully passes the theatre's security check. The video concludes with him relishing his snacks while watching Akshay Kumar's film, 'OMG 2'.

While we don't endorse rule-breaking, the video's humour and creativity were too entertaining not to share. The clip has garnered significant attention, amassing over 35 million views. Even Swiggy Instamart's official Instagram page acknowledged the post, humorously commenting, "Smartest student from section A."

However, not everyone was amused. Some viewers sided with the theatre owners, criticising the creator for potentially harming the cinema business. They argued that such actions could lead to stricter checks in theatres.
