Dog’s midnight snack adventure triggers alarm in US shelter. Hilarious video - India Today

The Lost Our Home Pet Rescue in Tempe, Arizona recently shared quite an interesting post that features a clever husky named King. The naughty dog made a daring escape from his kennel late at night for some treats and accidentally triggered the burglar alarm. The incident prompted a police officer to visit the spot and the video of it is too funny to miss.

Jodi Polanski, the founder of the shelter, was alerted by her phone when the security system detected unexpected activity. Rushing to check the live feed, she discovered that King had skilfully used his paw to unlatch his kennel door and then proceeded to open another door leading into the office. Once inside, King couldn't resist the temptation of a midnight feast and helped himself to a snack, scattering food all over the floor.

The commotion set off the security system, which misinterpreted King's jumping at the door as a glass break. A police officer, who arrived to check on the triggered alarm, found King wagging his tail in anticipation of some human interaction. After a friendly greeting, the officer gently guided King back to his kennel and tidied up the mess, earning him the affectionate nickname "Mr. Clean" from the shelter staff.

Watch the video here:

This adorable tale of King's nocturnal adventure and the kind-hearted response of the local police have charmed people. Many couldn’t help but point out that the police officer should have adopted King.

Did this stupid, hungry doggo make you smile?
